We are a group of Long Islanders and friends who share the passion for trails and nature. We hike, bike and paddle the many trails Long Island has to offer. We explore the Long Island trails and share its beauty through our photos. We also travel, camp, backpack and hike to the many beautiful places and mountains of the Northeast and beyond.

LITE is an open forum for trail enthusiasts and outdoor groups. Many of us are also members of one or more outdoor organizations or meetups here in Long Island and outside - AMC, ADK, EHTPS, LITLC, LI Greenbelt, NHOC, Sierra Club and others. We connect with other groups and/or excursions here in Long Island and the tri-state areas to participate in their events.

Come and let us share trail ideas, collaborate in promoting the outdoors and together explore nature around us. As long as you are fun and friendly, you are in!

Certain risks are inherent in any outdoor activities. Participants of any events must subscribe to the event rules and guidelines of the organization leading the event (ie Greenbelt, Sierra Club).
